<p>These  three Baltimore poets are still bringing sexy—and dangerous—back to  poetry after years of performing live and in private trysts.  <strong>Jenny Keith’s</strong> writing has appeared in City Paper, The Pearl, Sewanee Theological  Review, and The Nebraska Review. She just completed a novel, which she  will be publishing online in October. <strong>Barrett Warner&#8217;s</strong> story,  “Get Away,” was the runner-up in the 2011 F. Scott Fitzgerald fiction  prize. His reading will include some love poems he wrote to Leslie 30  years ago. <strong>Leslie Miller</strong> is the author of <em>Let me Eat Cake</em> (Simon &amp; Schuster, 2009). Fallon  is a poet and essayist who has long endured the sorrows and joys of  living in his native Baltimore and is the author of two other books of  poetry; <em>A History of the Color Black</em> (Dophin-Moon Press, 1991),  and Since You Have No Body (2011), winner of the Plan B Press Poetry  Chapbook Competition and. His new book, <em>The Great Before and After</em>,  is a comic inquiry into how we all got here in the first place, what we  might be doing here, and what might happen when and if all the lights  go out.  Doritt Caroll<strong> </strong>is a native of Washington DC, and earns her living as an attorney.  Her book <em>In Caves </em>was  published by BrickHouse Books in 2010 and was recently the subject of  an interview with Jane Crown on Poetry Radio. New Orleans-born W.M.  Rivera’s recent book <em>Buried in the Mind’s Backyard</em> (Brickhouse  Books 2011) is a collection of tautly disciplined, passionate, virile  poems. Grace Cavalieri described it as &#8221;intelligently delicious poetry.”  Clarinda Harriss hosts. <p><strong>Jan 30th</strong><strong> – March 4th, 2011:</strong> The Hexagon Presents: <em>Rough Language;</em> a gallery exhibition and pop-up shop of new t-Shirts by Emily Burtner and Nolen Strals.   Both artists in this show draw on the history of design and punk, with Nolen displaying comedic screenprinted work while Burtner&#8217;s more contemplative pieces are joined by an alphabet lookbook.  <strong>Opening reception Saturday, February 12, 6pm-8pm.  Pop-up shop March 12th, 4pm-7pm.</strong></p>
<p>Nolen, co-founder of local Baltimore design studio Post Typography, and Emily, a senior at MICA, and are both graphic designers with a history in American punk rock on both sides of the stage.  Both Nolen and Emily draw on historic use of the t-shirt as a primary vehicle for the delivery of counter-cultural ideas.</p>
<p>The Hexagon is a community-run gallery and performance space that embraces all media and is located in the Station North Arts District at 1825 N. Charles Street. The Hexagon features music performances, community outreach events, film screenings, art exhibitions, and many other creative events. <p>Nov. 6 – 28th, 2010 The Hexagon Presents: Constructing the In Between; new work by <strong><a href="http://www.seanscheidt.com/#/exhibitionspress" target="_blank">Sean Scheidt</a></strong>, the winner of The Hexagon Salon juried exhibition.  By combining traditional photographic elements into paintings Sean Scheidt achieves a melding of two often separate worlds.</p>
<p>Sean Scheidt is a Baltimore area freelance photographer and mixed media artist who has been published both locally and nationally.  Sean’s mixed media work combines his love of photography with painterly elements.  Sean also works in the Photography Department at Maryland Institute College of Art.</p>
