Originally from a small midwestern town in central Iowa, I
have recently moved to Baltimore from Seattle, Washington. In Seattle, I
was active in artist run gallery and showed in Seattle's numerous
coffee houses. I wanted to share my work and hopefully build some networking
contacts through this site.
I like to seek out subject matter such as dilapidated buildings. My
current work involves still life where I seek out to arrange objects in a
want that offers interest. Through all my work I like to include an
element of mystery that captures a viewer.
As of now I'm at a crossroads. My wife has taken up her work and
encouraged me to go into art full time. Scary but exciting. So if anyone
takes the time to look at my work and offer open and honest opinions for
work they feel is strongest it would be greatly appreciated. I want to
concentrate on developng a series of work that is consistent. As of
now I feel I'm all over the board and not sure if this is a good or bad
thing. :)
