I was born in Toronto and grew up in Riverdale where my passion for art began. The first big project I worked on was the 'Withrow Wall' a mural outside of my school when I was in grade 6. I attended the post secondary Fine Art program at Central Tech and from there onto University. I moved out to Vancouver where I first started to show my work.
After ten years of working at a 'real job' I came to the realization that if I didn't do the Art thing I would be sitting at a desk one day with blue hair and a bad perm wondering what the fuck. Now back in TO I'm working on my own projects, doing shows and working on some writing. Last year I had my first show in New York and self published my first bit of writing.
Drawn to the alternative and things considered outside the mainstream my work and attitude reflects the same. I enjoy art that is unusual, provocative and original. I often work with the themes or the reflection of opposites - contrasts - opposing ideas in one image and basic spiritual elements/principles. Combining various materials I often work with found objects and mix paint and sculptural elements together.
