HUBBY'S HOME CASSEROLE
1 lb ground beef
1 box of macaroni and cheese mix
1 can of mushroom soup
Prepare macaroni and cheese mix according to package directions,
but withold the cheese. While macaroni is boiling brown the
ground beef. When both are done mix them together with the
mushroom soup and put in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle the
cheese powder evenly over top. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese
is browned and soup mixture bubbles around the sides.
If you want, use some imagination and create a different dish by
adding your favorite vegetables. It is delicious either way and
foolproof.
GROUND BEEF RECIPE
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup sour cream
2/3 cup miracle whip
4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 onion chopped
2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
1/2 cup cold water
tomatoes, approx 2 sliced
green pepper, 1 chopped into large pieces
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat oven to 375. Coat 13X9 baking dish with pan spray. Cook
ground beef and garlic until brown; drain. Mix sour cream,
miracle whip, cheese and onion; reserve. Mix baking mix and
water until soft dough forms. Pat in pan. Layer beef, tomatoes,
green pepper in pan and season with salt and pepper; spoon sour
cream mixture over top. Bake 25-30 minutes.
GOULASH
1 lb Ground beef
1 small - medium onion, chopped
Lawrys all purpose seasoning
15 oz can Tomato sauce
elbow noodles, cooked and drained
Velveeta slices or American cheese slices
(Amounts of the above vary depending on the size of
your family)
In large skillet, brown hamburger and onion, seasoned with the
Lawry's. Drain grease and add noodles and tomato sauce( use more
sauce as needed). Stir. Cover the top of the mixture with lots
of slices of cheese. Cover and simmer on low until the cheese is
melted; serve immediately!
HASH
1 lb Ground Beef
1- onion chopped
1/2 Bell Pepper chopped(optional)
1 15oz can Tomatoes
1 Cup Beef broth
2-3 Potatoes peeled & chopped
Brown ground beef with onion & bell pepper.When brown add beef
broth,tomatoes & potatoes. Simmer till potatoes are tender. You
can season it with salt,pepper,garlic powder,& onion powder. Just
season to taste.
TATER TOT CASSEROLE
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 package frozen veggies
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 bag tater tots
Line 9 x 13 pan with frozen tater tots. Brown beef and onion.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour mixture over tots. Top with
remaining tots. Bake 350 45-55 minutes or til tots are browned.
MEATBALL SUB CASSEROLE
1/3 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup Italian-style dried bread crumbs
3 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1 pound ground beef
1 - 1 pound loaf Italian-style bread, cut into 1
inch pieces
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 cup water
2 cloves garlic, minced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together onions, bread crumbs,
cheese and ground beef. Roll into 1 inch diameter balls, and
place in a baking pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until beef
is no longer pink. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees.
Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer in an ungreased 9x13
inch baking dish. Mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise,
Italian seasoning and black pepper until smooth. Spread this
mixture over each bread cube. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the grated
mozzarella cheese. In a large bowl, mix together spaghetti sauce,
water, and garlic. Gently stir in meatballs. Pour over the
bread and cheese mixture in the baking pan. Sprinkle the
remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Bake at 350
degrees F for 30 minutes, or until heated through.
MEXICAN CASSEROLE
2 lbs ground turkey breast, chicken breast or beef
1 lg onion (chopped)
1 ? teaspoon garlic powder
1 ? teaspoon onion powder
Black pepper
Brown in large skillet til meat is completely cooked through.
Then add:
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
1 can Cheddar Cheese soup
1 can mild Ro-Tel
Stir and heat til bubbly. In 9 x 13 x 2 pan, crumble about 6 oz
Nacho Cheese Doritos Spoon about 1/3 of meat mixture on top
Sprinkle about 1 ? cups grated Cojack cheese on top Top with
remaining meat mixture, another layer of cheese, and another 6 oz
of crushed Doritos. Bake at 350 til bubbly and Doritos brown
slightly. If you split this recipe and freeze half, leave out the
Doritos and just sprinkle on top before cooking the frozen part.
CHEESE SPAGHETTI
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
onion(diced, as much as you like)
salt/pepper/garlic powder--to taste
2 large cans tomatoe paste
2 large cans water (alittle more if to thick)
10-12 slices of american cheese (kraft taste best)
spaghetti (as much and cooked as you like)
Fry ground beef with onions till done, drain, add tomatoe paste,
water and spices. simmer 1/2 hour. Add cheese, bring to a boil,
then simmer till cheese melts. Mix with cooked spaghetti. This
has been a favorite in my home for over 30 years.
POOR MAN'S ROAST
Foil

potatoes (sliced)
carrots (sliced)
onion (sliced)
celery(sliced)
butter
water
salt,pepper,garlic powder
Take 1 piece of foil per person, place 1 serving of each on foil
in order, carrot,potatoe,onion, celery,spices.Add 1 tablespoon
butter (divided around veggies) Top with hamburger patty,
sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over meat, fold up foil, bake 350
oven about 1 1/2 hours, or grill indirect 1 1/2 hours.
